I'm happy to say that the poster that I have designed was chosen to represent the Personal Learning Path campaign at Vista High School. I chose this project because it seemed to be the most critical project of the three options. I chose bold typography and vibrant colors in hopes that this poster will grab the attention of passing students; additionally, I created some simple vector symbols for each of the three key principles to better flesh out the ideas. I wanted to make the poster fun which I believe I succeeded in, but I can't help but think the design is a little too juvenile. I used a triad color scheme using adjacent colors with the help of palleton.com. In doing this, I was able to easily section off which principles were which and created some better ergonomics in the design.
The Chamber of Commerce is a NPO that aims to recognize influential people and organizations in education, business, and public safety. They hold an annual event in which they award some of the influential people and organizations in the Heroes of Vista dinner.
How Can We Honor These Heroes? To honor these local heroes, our class could provide the event with design work to embellish the event or provide winners with certificates that include design and photo work. |
